Project Description

Hetauda, 3 August, 2026: The Rotary Club of Hetauda, in collaboration with the Rotary Club of Edmonds, Washington, USA, inaugurated the second cohort of a three-month free tailoring training program for eight disadvantaged and marginalised women at the Women Protection Centre (WPC), Hetauda-5.

The inauguration program was graced by Mr. Nabin Sigdel, Ward Chair of Hetauda Sub-Metropolitan City-4. On the occasion, the trainees were provided with essential tailoring training materials, which were formally handed over by Rtn. Kishor Parajuli, the President of the Rotary Club of Hetauda. The trainees represent Raksirang and Manahari Rural Municipalities and will receive training with all residential facilities.

The project is sponsored by the Rotary Club of Edmonds, Washington, USA, and is being implemented by Women Protection Centre (WPC) Nepal. The training aims to equip women with practical tailoring skills, promote self-reliance, and create opportunities for sustainable income generation.
